Every Florida spring sits at a nearly constant 72°F year-round, but that doesn’t mean every experience runs every month. Thirty-seven of the forty springs we track are open for their main experience in every season — here’s the honest list, plus the three exceptions.

How to choose
Seasonal restriction turns out to be about specific springs, not geography. North Florida’s 16 springs are all year-round, the Gulf Coast’s 5 are all year-round, and the Panhandle is 5 of 6. Even Central Florida, home to the state’s biggest manatee-season closure at Blue Spring, still keeps 11 of its 12 springs open every month.
Three springs didn’t make the list. Blue Spring State Park closes its swim area completely from roughly November through March whenever manatees are present — the same window that’s the best time to see them from the boardwalk. Jackson Blue Spring runs its swim area only in summer. Warm Mineral Springs has had recurring, unpredictable closures; treat any date there as unverified until you call ahead.
Common questions
Are Florida springs open in winter?
Most are — 37 of the 40 springs we track stay open for their main experience year-round. The main exception is Blue Spring State Park, which closes its swim area from roughly November through March for manatee season.
Which springs close seasonally?
Blue Spring State Park (winter manatee closure), Jackson Blue Spring (summer-only swim area), and Warm Mineral Springs (recurring, unpredictable closures) are the three exclusions from this list.
Does “open year-round” mean every attraction is running?
Not always — Weeki Wachee Springs keeps the park open year-round but runs its water park attraction seasonally, and Three Sisters Springs offers kayaking year-round while its popular manatee tours are a winter-only feature.
