We read everything that comes in. Corrections jump the queue — keeping this site accurate is the whole point of it.
Email us
We aim to reply within a few days. If you are reporting something that is wrong on the site, please include the page it is on and, where you can, where you saw the correct information — a park sign, a receipt, the official page. That lets us verify and fix it the same day rather than adding it to a queue.
Especially useful to hear
- Something we got wrong — a fee, an opening hour, a closure, a rule that has changed. Tell us the page and we will check it.
- How a spring looked recently — clarity after rain, how early it filled, whether the gate closed. This is the information official sources never publish.
- A spring we have not covered — tell us why it deserves a page.
- Your photographs — if you would like one featured, with credit and a link back to you.
- Outfitters, dive shops, and campgrounds — if you run one near a spring and something we have published about you is out of date, we want to correct it.
What to write in about
Most of what reaches us falls into a few categories, and each one goes somewhere slightly different once it lands in the inbox:
- A wrong fee, hour, or closure. Tell us the spring or page and, if you have it, where you saw the correct figure — the park’s own website, a sign at the gate, a receipt. A fee or hours correction is exactly what we prioritize, since it’s the kind of error that sends someone on a wasted drive.
- A spring we have not covered yet. Tell us which one and why it’s worth a full page — what makes it different from the springs already on the site is more useful to us than just a name.
- A photo submission. Our photo policy is the same one described on the About page: photographs on this site are used under open licences such as Creative Commons, or with the photographer’s permission, and credited in the caption wherever they appear. If you send us a photo of a spring, tell us how you would like to be credited and let us know if you’d like a link back to your own site or account, and we’ll follow the same policy for your image that we use for everyone else’s.
- Advertising or partnership questions. We get these occasionally, and the honest answer to most of them is already written down: our Editorial & Affiliate Disclosure explains exactly how the site makes money, what we will and will not accept from an advertiser or operator, and why a paid relationship never buys a ranking. Read that first — it answers most of what a partnership email is really asking, and if your question isn’t covered there, email us and say what you have in mind.
What happens after you send a correction
A correction doesn’t just get taken on faith and pasted in. As described on the About page, every fact on this site is checked against the park or operator’s own published information before it goes live, and that’s exactly what happens with a correction too: we check it against the same kind of primary source — the park’s current fee page, its own hours-and-fees listing, a posted closure notice — before we change anything. Once a fee, hour, or closure is updated, the page is re-dated so you can see when it was last verified, the same as every other page on the site. If what you sent us doesn’t match what the park’s own current page says, we’ll go with the park’s page and let you know why, rather than silently ignoring the email either way.
What we cannot help with
We are an independent guide, not a park or a booking service. We cannot take reservations, issue refunds, check you in, confirm whether a specific park is open today, or contact a park on your behalf. For same-day status — whether a gate is still letting cars in, whether a swim area is closed for the afternoon — the park itself is the only reliable source, and every spring guide on this site links to the official source at the top of the page for exactly that reason. Our conditions page tracks known closures and reservation requirements as we verify them, but it is not a live status board, and it can be out of date between our checks in a way a phone call to the park cannot be. If your trip depends on today’s status, call the park directly rather than waiting on an email from us.
Press, corrections policy, and licensing
For press enquiries, permission to quote more than a short extract, or questions about using our comparison data, email the address above and say what you have in mind. Our editorial standards and how we build the rankings are set out in the Editorial & Affiliate Disclosure.
