Who runs this site
floridaspringsfinder.com is published by Florida Springs Finder, an independent guide to Florida’s freshwater springs. We are not affiliated with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, the Florida State Parks system, the U.S. Forest Service, any county park department, or any private spring operator. Information we collect
Information you give us
If you email us — to report a wrong fee, flag a closure, submit a photo, or ask a question — we receive whatever you put in that message, including your email address. We use it to reply to you and, where you have told us about a correction, to check and update the relevant page. We do not sell it, rent it, or add it to a marketing list.
Information collected automatically
Server logs. Like nearly every website, our host records standard technical information for each request: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the page requested, the page that referred you, and a timestamp. These logs are used for security and troubleshooting.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics and Google Search Console to understand which pages people find useful and which search terms bring them here. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally. Google’s own privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy, and you can opt out of Google Analytics entirely with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser. We use them in three ways:
- Necessary cookies — set by WordPress and our host to keep the site working, and to remember your preferences on interactive tools such as the spring matcher quiz and the annual pass calculator.

Content embedded from other services

Your rights and choices
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you (in practice this is usually nothing more than an email address, and only if you have written to us), ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email kyle.eagleconcrete@gmail.com and we will action the request.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection under the GDPR, and the right to complain to your national data protection authority. If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information is collected and to request its deletion, and the right to opt out of its “sale” — we do not sell personal information.
Children
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Data retention and security
Emails are kept only as long as they are useful for answering you and maintaining the accuracy of the site. Server logs rotate on our host’s standard schedule. The site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Accuracy and safety — important
We work hard to keep fees, hours, closures, capacity notes, and rules correct, and every spring page shows when its information was last checked. Even so, these details change frequently and without notice. Always confirm with the park, forest, or operator before making a long drive. This site is an independent guide, not an official source.
Springs are wild, natural places. Swimming, snorkelling, diving, tubing, and paddling carry real risk — cold-water shock, currents, submerged limestone, wildlife, and overhead cave environments among them. Cave diving in particular has killed both untrained and trained divers. You take part at your own risk, you are responsible for staying within your training and ability, and you must follow every posted rule and ranger instruction.
