About

[This is a starter draft written in a warm, personal voice. Swap the bracketed parts for your real story and add a family photo using the “Set featured image” box. The more it sounds like you, the better — this is the page where people decide to trust the site.]

Hi — I’m [Your Name], and this site started with my family and a lot of wet towels in the back of the car.

[Tell your story here — a couple of sentences in your own words. For example: how you first discovered the springs, a trip that hooked you, or what your family loves about them. Something like: “We’re the [Last Name] family, and we’ve been chasing Florida’s springs together for [X] years — my [kids / partner / whoever] and I have floated the runs, frozen and then warmed up in that perfect 72°F water, and packed way too many snacks more times than I can count.”]

Why I made this

Every time we planned a spring day, I ran into the same headaches: fees that had changed, hours that were wrong, and no way to know which springs would be full by the time we got there with the kids buckled in. The pretty travel articles clearly weren’t written by anyone who’d actually stood at the gate at 10am watching the “at capacity” sign go up.

So I started keeping my own notes. This site is those notes, cleaned up and shared — the honest version of each spring, from someone who’s actually been there with a carload of people and a cooler that wasn’t allowed on the river.

What we do here

We visit the springs, take our own photos, and keep the details current — real fees, real hours, and honest warnings about crowds and closures. Every page shows when we last checked its information. When we’re not sure about something, we say so instead of guessing, because I’d rather tell you “verify this” than send your family on a two-hour drive to a locked gate.

How we rank them

Our scores come from the things that actually matter on a spring day — how clear the water is, how the facilities hold up, what it costs, how crowded it gets, and whether it’s worth the drive. Nobody pays for a ranking or a good review. If we earn a small commission when you book a stay or grab some gear through our links, it never changes what we recommend. [More on that on our disclosure page.]

Say hi

If you catch something out of date, know a spring we’ve missed, or just want to share a photo from your own trip, I’d genuinely love to hear it — drop us a line. This site gets better every time a reader writes in.

See you on the water,
[Your Name]
